Nếu bạn đã phát chán với việc làm test rồi chữa bài trong bộ Cambridge IELTS, tại sao không thử một cách dùng khác?

Bộ sách Cambridge IELTS là tài liệu gối đầu giường của sĩ tử thi IELTS toàn thế giới. Dám chắc ai đi thi cũng đều “luyện Cam”. Làm test, mở đáp án ra chữa, chấm điểm, lặp lại lần nữa. Cách sử dụng truyền thống đôi khi khiến bạn cảm thấy chán ngắt, và đôi khi là nản chí vì trình độ Reading lên rất rất chậm. Tại sao không “đổi gió” một chút?

Sử dụng Cambridge IELTS từ gợi ý của IELTS Simon

Dưới đây là một cách học thú vị mà mình học được từ trang IELTS Simon và thấy rất hiệu quả. Sau khi áp dụng cách này, tốc độ đọc và sự nhạy cảm với ngôn ngữ tăng lên đáng kể. Đây cũng là một cách sẽ giúp bạn làm giàu vốn từ vựng reading phong phú, cũng như thời gian làm bài được rút ngắn kha khá.

1. Chọn một bài reading.
2. Xem phần đáp án của bài đó ở cuối sách và ghi nhớ câu trả lời đúng.
3. Quay lại đọc lại câu hỏi tương ứng, gạch chân từ khoá và tìm trong bài câu trả lời của câu hỏi đó. Vì bạn đã biết đáp án đúng từ trước rồi, nên việc bây giờ cần làm chỉ là tìm xem nó nằm ở đâu trong bài đọc.
4. Gạch chân trong bài đọc nhưng từ, cụm từ đồng nghĩa với từ khoá bạn đã gạch chân trong câu hỏi.
5. Sau khi hoàn thành với mỗi câu hỏi, đã đến lúc tạo một bảng từ khoá của riêng mình (keyword table)

Kĩ thuật này thay thế cho việc tự ép bản thân làm test. Thay vào đó, bạn sẽ tập trung hơn vào việc tìm từ khoá, hiểu lý do cho mỗi câu trả lời và ghi nhớ từ vựng

Dưới đây là một ví dụ về cách lập Keyword Table của Simon: Bảng từ khoá tổng hợp từ passage 1, test 1, sách Cam 8.

Thực hành với Cambridge IELTS 5

Trước khi bắt đầu thực hiện bảng từ khoá đầu tiên của mình, bạn hãy thử sức với một bài tập nhỏ đơn giản nhé. Làm xong bài này, bạn đã có một bảng từ khoá cho Cambridge IELTS 5 (test 3, passage 1) rồi đó J
